From April 22 to 25, 2017, the German speaking Crème de la Crème of the confectionery industry met in sunny weather in Ascona, on Lake Maggiore (Switzerland).
Hoffmann returned as a sponsoring partner and introduced a new tin design for confectionery.
In an open atmosphere at this year's Tessiner Innovationstage, participants and speakers discussed smart ideas for the smart niche in confectionery. This included new flavor combinations, less sugar, enriching with essential vitamins and vegan products. Using tangible examples, experts demonstrated how to successfully market confectionery in a digitized world and how manufacturers make consumers fall in love with a product at the point of sale. On the "Tag im Ideenhaus" (Day in the House of Ideas) the participants were inspired to create new ideas: visually, olfactorily, gustatorily, tactilely and auditorily.
As a sponsoring partner, Hoffmann presented for the first time how new shapes and personalized prints for metal tins can create super-sweet added value for confectionery. Equally, factors such as protection, feel, custom branding and the high recycling rate of tins were explored. The topic of local production of tins in Europe was eagerly discussed because confectionery manufacturers want to provide evidence for specific product lines as well as actively contribute on the subject.
If you would like to learn more about the presented ideas and uses of metal packaging, please write to us. We would be delighted to talk to you.
